The great Alonzo Mourning wore these Size 17 shoes during an NBA career that included seven selections as an All-Star and twice earned him NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award and perennially placed him on the NBA All-Defensive Team. He made a comeback after undergoing a kidney transplant and later won the 2006 NBA Championship with the Heat. He has also played for the Charlotte Hornets and New Jersey Nets. On March 30, 2009, Mourning became the first Miami Heat player to have his number retired.

The Nike Air "Force" shoes are in sensational condition, showing good game use but otherwise are problem-free and seemingly as-issued. The embroidered blue Nike Air logo stitching on the heels is in similarly unmolested condition and the blue and white leather panels and Nike Swoosh graphic show little if any fraying of the delicate white stitching; the interior blue knit cushioned section is just as pristine and shows Size 17 imprinting. Mourning has signed in black Sharpie on the outside of each heel, adding the personalization "To Dan" and his uniform No. 33.

Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from renowned shoe collector, Bill Ficke.
