It’s been written that Aaron “Rosy” David Rosenberg prided himself in his "needle work." A master at taunting enemy linemen, the 6-0, 210-pound USC guard could back up his words. He was a vicious blocker and tackler, and an All-America selection for the Trojans in 1932 and 1933. This lot includes a National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame certificate that was awarded to Rosenberg upon his election on January 9, 1966. The award states: “Aaron “Rosy” David Rosenberg has been granted the highest honors of the National Football Hall of Fame, in recognition of his outstanding playing ability as demonstrated in intercollegiate competition, his sportsmanship, integrity, character and contribution to the sport of football, this certificate bears witness that his name shall be forever honored in the National Football Hall of Fame.” The framed certificate measures 19” wide by 25” high and is signed by Fred Russell, former Chairman of the Honors Court of the National Football Hall of Fame.

Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
