If there is one name that personifies championship pro football it is Vince Lombardi. During the 1960’s the legendary coach led Green Bay to five titles in seven years. His Packers won the first two Super Bowls, and upon his death in 1970, the Championship Trophy was named in his honor. This official Green Bay Packers check was signed by the Hall of Fame coach along with Green Bay’s defensive tackle and fellow Hall of Famer Henry Jordan. It is dated August 13, 1960 and made out for $50.00. The check is signed in blue ballpoint by general manager “Vincent Lombardi” and in black ink by team president “Dominic Olejniczak.” The back has been endorsed by the “Henry Jordan.” The check shows light toning from age and there are the usual cancellation perforations and stamping throughout. The perforations do not affect the Lombardi and Olejniczak signatures and slightly intrude on Jordan’s signature. Finding Lombardi's signature an a team check along with one if his best Packer players is truly rare. The check has been encapsulated and graded AUTHENTIC by PSA/DNA.
