This offered program was signed by a number of significant VIP's in attendance at a June 8, 1959, banquet in D.C. for Republican Congressmen and GOP supporters, among them: acting President of the United States Dwight Eisenhower and First Lady Mamie Eisenhower; acting Vice President Richard Nixon and wife, Pat Nixon; longtime U.S. Senator from Arizona and 1964 GOP nominee for POTUS, Barry Goldwater; Methodist clergyman, Frederick Brown Harris, who served the longest term as Chaplain of the Senate (24 years); and John Wayne. "The Duke" was one of the most loyal and outspoken Republicans during his illustrious career in Hollywood.
The Nixons' blue ballpoint autographs have faded a bit (much like Dick's political career following his controversial term in the Oval Office), and there is one unidentified signature on the lower left beginning at a stained corner. All others in blue and black appear bold and sharp, making this piece quite eye-apeealing. The approximately 8.5" by 11" sheet is nicely matted and framed to overal dimensions of "10 by 14." Includes full LOA from PSA/DNA, who was unable to identify Harris (not sure how or why) and one other signature.
