On June 13, 2012, Matt Cain of the San Francisco Giants pitched the 22nd perfect game – where no opposing batters reach first base – in Major League Baseball (MLB) history and the first in Giants' franchise history. Pitching against the Houston Astros at AT&T Park in San Francisco, Cain retired all 27 batters that he faced and tallied 14 strikeouts, which tied L.A. Dodgers great Sandy Koufax (1965) for the most strikeouts in a perfect game. This lot includes a Matt Cain autographed and inscribed game-used baseball from that game. Cain has signed the game in blue ink on the sweet spot and added the inscription: “P.G. 6-13-12 Game Ball.” His signature rates 9/10.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
