May 26, 1959 is a date that will probably never be repeated again in Major League Baseball. On that date, Harvey Haddix of the Pittsburgh Pirates pitched 12 perfect innings against the Milwaukee Braves at County Stadium in Milwaukee. The problem for Haddix was that Brave hurler Lou Burdette was throwing a shut out of his own. An error ending the perfect game in the 13th, followed by a sacrifice bunt and intentional walk to Hank Aaron. Joe Adcock ended the game and no-hitter with what would have been a 3 run home run, but Aaron did not run home and was called out. Adcock was awarded a single and the game officially ended at 12 2/3 innings 1-0. Stub is torn off below perforation with one crease running vertically right down the center of the stub. No front paper is lost. Very well could be a unique game in the history of baseball with another like this never likely to happen again.
