Andrew McCutchen’s 2009 debut in Pittsburgh heralded the return of great Pirates baseball. Right from the start “Cutch” seemed to revitalize a franchise that wilted after Barry Bonds jumped ship in 1992. The outfielder steadily gained confidence at the plate, and in 2012 he had his breakout season, leading the NL in hits with 194, posting a .327 average and winning the first of his four Silver Slugger Awards. McCutchen wore this jersey during the Pirates May 25, 2012, 1-0 shutout of the Chicago Cubs. He walked in four plate appearances.

The black alternate home jersey has the Pirates’ “P” on the left chest and McCutchen’s number “22” on the right in gold, black and white tackle twill. The collar and sleeves are trimmed in gold and black piping and a Majestic size 42 label is in the lower left front tail. A Pirate mascot logo patch is on the left sleeve and the back has “McCUTCHEN” in gold tackle twill letters on a black name plate. His number “22” is below in gold, black and white tackle twill on which the MLB hologram has been affixed. The jersey exhibits just light game use with no tears or visible stains.
