This lot offers a unique Randy Johnson 2008 game worn Tuscon Sidewinders (Pacific Coast League) home jersey graded A10 by MEARS. After being traded back to the Arizona Diamondbacks in the offseason, Johnson was still rehabbing an ailing back when the regular season began. Therefore, he started the season with the D-Backs' Triple-A affiliate in Tuscon where he had two rehab starts. He wore this jersey in a home game on April 3rd, 2008, and got shelled for five runs on eight hits in just four innings of work. His second rehab start on the road didn't fare much better, but he did whiff seven in five innings to get back on track. "The Big Unit" would start 30 games for the D-Backs in 2008, going 11-10 with a 3.91 ERA and 173 K's in 184 IP at the ripe age of 44. In his final season of 2009 with the S.F. Giants, R.J. became a member of the elite 300-Win Club.

The white button-down PCL jersey features the Sidewinders team crest patch across the chest and Randy's iconic No. "51" in black tackle twill on the left torso. A Russell Athletic size 50 jock tag is sewn to the left front tail. The upper back features a Russell Athletic and MiLB logo in black, with a large "51" across the back in black-on-orange tackle twill. The sleeveless style was ideal for the warm weather in Tuscon. MEARS Authentication has given the jersey the highest-possible A10 grade. The jersey is also accompanied by a June '08 letter of provenance from the Tuscon Sidewinders team President/CEO.
