At just 29 years of age, Bryce Harper has already achieved numerous accolades in his Major League career. From the moment he debuted with the Washington Nationals a decade ago, the Vegas-brewed prodigy was destined for greatness. And the left-handed slugger has certainly lived up to the hype! After claiming National League Rookie of the Year honors in 2012, Harper has seven All-Star nods and took home his second N.L. MVP award last season when he led all of baseball in Slugging % and OPS.
Presented here is Bryce's 2018 game used alternate jersey from his final season in our nation's capital. Harper wore this jersey in no less than a dozen games throughout the course of that campaign. This also happens to be same number of times the Nationals even donned these alternate jerseys during the entire season! Sports Investors has conclusively photo-matched the 2018 jersey to games on April 10; May 1, 15 and 22; June 5 and 19; July 31; August 7 (doubleheader) and 21; September 4 and 25. Over those twelve games, Harper went 11 for 38 (.290) with two home runs, 10 RBI, 9 runs and 10 walks.
The navy alternate jersey features a stylized "Nationals" scripted with underline across the chest in white tackle twill with a red kiss cut outline. Harper's number "34" is found on the left panel. Both the collar and sleeve are trimmed with navy, white, and red ribbon trim. On the right sleeve is the official 2018 All-Star Game patch the team wore throughout the 2018 MLB season. The left sleeve features the signature Nationals curly "W" disc patch. On the back is his number "34" in red directly under the name "HARPER" in white tackle twill. The front left tail has the screen printed Majestic size 46 tag. Beneath that is another QR-barcode style tag with player-specific information.
This is simply an incredible piece worn by Harper every time the team sported their navy alternate jerseys in 2018. Includes a full LOA from Sports Investors Authentication with all the aforementioned photo-matching documentation. An MLB Authentication sticker (JD193402) affixed to the Majestic tagging on the shirttail verifies two of the 12 games Harper wore this shirt.
