With one league MVP already under his belt, Milwaukee Bucks sensation Giannis Antetokounmpo is quickly becoming the face of the NBA. The versatile 7-foot scoring machine has guided the Bucks atop the Eastern Conference each of the last two seasons. With a 52-13 record and firm grip on the #1 seed in the playoffs, it looked like 2020 was going to be the year Milwaukee got to the Finals and over the hump. Then, a worldwide pandemic halted everything, including Greek Freak’s run at another MVP.

Presented here is Giannis’ 2018-19 game worn home jersey from his first MVP campaign, which has been professionally photo-matched to 2018 Bucks Media Day! Information from its original source and further internal research indicates it was also worn over a four-game stretch from late November to early December. Here’s how the Greek Freek did in those contests: 11/24 vs. Spurs – 34 points, 18 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, 1 block; 11/26 @ Hornets – 20 pts, 13 reb, 9 ast, 3 blk, 1 stl; 11/28 vs. Bulls – 36 pts, 11 reb, 8 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk; 12/5 vs. Pistons – 15 pts, 7 reb. & 5 ast. in 26 min. He finished the season with insane averages of 27.7 points (57.8% FG), 12.5 boards, 5.9 dimes, 1.3 swats and one theft in under 33 minutes of action per game. His points and rebounds had even improved through 65 games of the suspended 2019-20 season.

The white polyester home jersey has proper Nike manufacturer’s tagging on the left front tail indicating Size 48 with a “LENGTH +2" flap tag. Adjacent is the NBA Authentication tag uniquely coded “MILE 01520.” The team motto “FEAR THE DEER” is sewn just above. The front of the jersey reads “BUCKS” fanned across the chest in green tackle twill outlined in beige. His uniform number “34” appears front and back in similar tackle twill format, only the green has beige dots. A patch of Bucks sponsor Harley Davidson appears on the upper left chest. The team’s green, beige and white colors run down both sides of the jersey. His long last name “ANTETOKOUNMPO” is arched over the back numbers, connecting both shoulder blades. The shirt displays moderate wear with frayed NOB letters and has clearly been laundered post-use.

Includes LOA from Resolution Photomatching using images from 9/24/18 media day to make the conclusive match. While the other four games in question are not as conclusive, it is our strong opinion that this is the same jersey.
