This awesome 2017-18 NHL game-used pairing hails from Anaheim Ducks All-Star goaltender John Gibson. A second round draft pick of the Ducks in 2011, Gibson worked his way up to becoming the team's regular starter in 2015-16. Two seasons later when he wore this offered jersey and used this offered goalie glove, Gibson finished the season with a superb .926 save percentage and helped the team reach the playoffs.
The white Adidas away jersey, with orange, black and gold accents along the sides, shoulders and sleeve ends, is labeled "2017-18 NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE SEASON", “AWAY JERSEY” and “ANAHEIM DUCKS HOCKEY CLUB SET #1” on the tagging inside the shirttail. Affixed just above is a barcode sticker labeled "SET 1 2017-18" with ID "1718100031". The Adidas size "58G" label is found inside the collar. The front of the long-sleeve sweater has a large Ducks team crest, while the back has "GIBSON" on a white nameplate with his large No. "36" below -- both done in black tackle twill outlined in white and orange. Each sleeve has the Anaheim Ducks team logo and "36" patches sewn on; the right sleeve also has an embroidered NHL Centennial patch sewn below the number. The all-original jersey exhibits outstanding evidence of game use with black contact marks, gashes and other punctures throughout.
Accompanying the jersey is a Gibson game-used goalie glove (believed to be from the same season) with a throwback “Mighty Ducks” white, burgundy and teal color scheme. John Gibson autographed the forehand of the glove in black marker. The CCM "Extreme Flex 4" goalie glove is stamped “GIBSON 36” on the inside wrist section and displays solid evidence of game use in the netting and mitt sections.
The jersey includes a team LOA from Anaheim Ducks VP/CMO Aaron Teats. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph).
