Before thrilling San Diego Padres fans the past several seasons with his power hitting, leadership and passion for the game, Manny Machado made a name for himself in Baltimore. This Machado game-used bat hails from the 2016 season when he finished third in the American League MVP voting with a career-high 37 homers to go along with a .294 average, 96 RBI and a career-best 105 runs scored. All while playing the toughest position on the diamound, shortstop. The two-time Gold Glover transitioned to third base in 2018 and is now one of baseball's best all-around players at the hot corner.

The Rawlings MY13 pro model bat has a cracked handle and shows outstanding evidence of use. There is a moderate coating of pine tar from the handle to the center brand. The barrel is battered with contact marks and blue paints streaks from squaring up official MLB baseballs on their blue brand labels. There is a crack in the handle that runs up to the center brand. The ash bat with a cupped barrel end measures 34" and 31.5 oz. as indicated on the front barrel stamping with Manny's insignia facsimile. The knob is stamped “MM13” with the "05/10/16" manufacturing date and an unknown "568-16" code. Machado has boldly autographed the barrel in blue marker with “G/U 16” inscribed for good measure.

Includes a COA from JSA (WP531692) for the signature. We are very confident this bat will pass John Taube's inspection at PSA/DNA if one so chooses to submit it (although with the handle crack its grade number is likely capped around GU 8).
