The Houston Astros called up Jose Altuve in 2011 out of Double-A with about 60 games left in the season. He batted .276 (61 for 221) with 10 doubles, two home runs, 26 runs scored, and 12 RBI. It would be his only MLB season to date in which he has played less than a 100 games for the Astros. Between 2012 and 2014, the 5'6" Altuve has averaged 152.3 games and has set the tone for hustle for his young Astros team with a batting average of .306 and a stellar 41.3 steals per season. The hustle Altuve has displayed culminated with a career season in 2014, becoming the first Astro to win a batting title. Altuve led the entire Major Leagues in batting average (.341) and hits (225), and tied for an NL-best 56 stolen bases. In 2015, the fans voted Altuve as the National League's starting second baseman at the All-Star game. Altuve also took home back to back AL MVP's in 2016 & 2017. Along with winning the 2017 World Series with his Astros, Altuve also earned ALCS MVP in 2019 on their way to the fall classic in which they fell to the Washington Nationals.

Altuve used this clear-finished maple Tucci Lumber TL-238-LDMX professional model bat in 2014. The bat shows excellent signs of game use, including baseball stitch impressions, blue ink transfers, as well as cleat and rack marks on the barrel. The bat’s lower handle is covered with Mota stick and the knob boasts a Tucci Lumber manufacturer sticker. Altuve neatly signed in Bold Black sharpie along with an inscription, "Game Used 2014 AL Batting Champ .341 avg 225 Hits."  Autograph and inscription are authenticated by PSA/DNA (sticker affixed) and the bat boasts a GU 10 grade from PSA/DNA for us and that LOA will accompany the bat.
