In 2013, Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto batted .305 with 177 hits including 30 doubles and 24 home runs. This lot includes one of Votto’s game-used and autographed Cincinnati Reds Louisville Slugger professional model bats from that season. The 34-inch, 32-ounce black Hillerich & Bradsby M356 model bat is cracked and shows ample game usage with pine tar on the handle area and plenty of contact marks throughout. The bat was actually cracked in one of Votto’s at-bats on June 2, 2013, at an away game at Pittsburgh. For the game, Votto went 1-for-4 and scored a run, but in the top half of the fifth inning Votto flied out off Pittsburgh pitcher Bryan Morris and in so doing cracked the bat. The Pirates won, 5-4, in 11 innings. Its manufacturing date of 01/28/13 is stamped in silver on the bat’s knob. Votto has signed the bat in silver marker on the barrel and has added “GU ‘13” next to his signature.

Includes Verification of Authenticity from PSA/DNA (Certification #1B07857) as well as MLB Authentication hologram (#EK 551976).
