Few players in baseball history ever put together the type of season that Angels outfielder Mike Trout had in 2012. To say Trout's first season was spectacular doesn't even do it justice. He led all rookies in nearly every offensive category, was a unanimous choice for the American League Rookie of the Year, and finished second in league MVP voting. Trout also became the first player in major league history to steal 45 bases, score 125 runs and hit 30 home runs in a single season. All that as a 21-year-old who missed pretty much the entire first month of the season.

Records indicate that Trout ordered 60 bats during his 2012 R.O.Y. campaign, just a fraction of what most players order for a season. This one is absolutely pounded with use and graded a perfect GU 10 by renowned bat guru John Taube. The 33.5 inch, 32.2 ounce Old Hickory J143M professional model two-toned bat with a cupped end remains un-cracked and exhibits evidence of outstanding use. Many ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the left, front and back barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers. Cleat marks are visible all over the barrel. Also visible on the bat is an impression from a weighted batting donut. The lower handle and knob have been taped to enhance the grip and there is a heavy coat of Mota Stick on the lower handle. Trout's initials ("MT") are penciled on the knob. Trout has signed the front barrel in bold 9-10/10 silver marker with his No. "27" inscribed. A rare and coveted keepsake from the incredible rookie season of best player in baseball today.

Includes LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (GU 10). Autograph certified by Beckett (A32083).
