Los Angeles Angels slugger Albert Pujols, now completing his 17th MLB season, is the newest member of baseball’s 600 Home Run Club. The 6’ 3” power hitter from the Dominican Republic, nicknamed “The Machine,” also has tallied more than 1,900 runs batted in.

This lot features a game-used bat that Pujols used during the 2012 season, a campaign in which he batted .285 with 30 home runs and 105 RBI. The offered Marucci two-toned bat stretches 34 inches long and weighs 32.6 ounces. The Albert Pujols professional model bat (#AP26-LDM) has a cupped end, is uncracked and shows evidence of excellent use as several ball marks and ball stitch marks are visible on the back barrel. Cleat marks can also be seen on the left and back barrel, and a heavy coat of pine tar stretches for nine inches along the upper handle. The bat knob is stamped with all the vital signs: date of manufacture (05/28/12), the length (4), the weight (2.0) and Pujols’ uniform number (5). Lastly, Pujols has signed the bat in gold marker and added the inscription “Game Used 12” to indicate the season of play. A great piece of game-used baseball memorabilia from only the ninth player to ever crack the magical 600 home run plateau.

Includes Letter of Grading and Authenticity from PSA/DNA with a grade of PSA GU 9. Autograph authenticated by MLB (hologram # EK323974).
