Lofa Tatupu is a hard-hitting linebacker who played his college ball at USC, like many fellow Samoans. He was named 1st Team All-America by Sports Illustrated 2004 before getting drafted in the 2nd round by the Seattle Seahawks in 2005. Featured here is Tatupu’s game-worn Seahawks home jersey from the 2010 season - his last in Seattle. A letter from the team equipment manager states that Tatupu wore this jersey in a November 7, 2010 game vs. the New York Giants. He made 3 Pro Bowls during his Seahawks tenure, as well as 1st Team All-Pro in 2007. The size 44 blue Reebok jersey with navy sleeves features Tatupu's #51 on the front, back and shoulders in white tackle twill with black outline. On the back is 'TATUPU' in white tackle twill across a blue nameplate. Sleeves feature Seahawks and Reebok logo patches and elastic hem. The shirttail has the same elastic hem. The perimeter of the collar has been custom cut with the NFL Equipment logo patch cut in half. The inner collar has a "10-44 S" strip tag along with a Seahawks team shop bar code. “SEAHAWKS” is stitched in white below the neck. Jersey exhibits excellent game use with several blue and gray paint transfers, black contact marks on the numbers and significant fraying throughout. Rather strong body odor and sweat stench as well. Awesome evidence from tough gridiron work in the trenches.
Includes Letter of Authenticity from Seahawks as well as Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
