Featured is a lovely winner's medal presented to the Spanish national soccer team from the 2010 World Cup. Spain's first World Cup winning team was lead by a duo of deadly mid-fielders in Andres Iniesta and Xavi as they defeated the Netherlands 1-0 in extra time. The battle for World Cup glory was hard fought and exhausting for viewers and referees as there were 14 yellow cards issued throughout the match. The lone goal came from Iniesta with four minutes left in extra time and shortly after Dutch defender John Heitinga was ejected from the match after receiving his second yellow card. The medal features a high relief etching of the FIFA World Cup trophy on the front and "2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa" on the verso. A blue ribbon with white print "FIFA" is attached to the gorgeous medal. Overall conditon of the 108 gram award is NM-MT.
