The Washington Wizards selected John Wall with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. The 20-year-old one-and-done prodigy out of University of Kentucky made an immediate impact as a rookie, averaging 16.4 points and 8.3 assists per game for the Wiz. His game has continued to improve and the lightning-fast “Slash” is now a perennial All-Star widely regarded as one of the league’s top point guards.

The offered pair of size 13 John Wall Reebok “Zig Slash” mid-top game worn shoes boast an aqua blue, white and black color scheme and come from his rookie 2010-11 campaign (ex. Getty 106912533). The upper outside edge of both shoes read “JW/FP” and they reveal moderate use. Within the heel area of both shoes is an embedded “ZIG TECH” logo. Wall has signed both of his shoes in shiny 9/10 blue marker and added his uniform number “#2” next to each signature. The shoes are appropriately tagged on the interior with Reebok sample labeling, and they come with their original white laces and blue Reebok insoles. Game use is evident inside and out, including an obvious red scuff mark on the left toes. To our knowledge, this is just the second pair of Wall’s rookie gamers to hit the auction block.

Our consignor won these in a charity auction run by Rick Brunson (father of Jalen), who served as the Bulls assistant coach during Wall's rookie season. Each shoe includes its own COA from PSA/DNA for the autographs (X78567 and X78568).
