No player in the history of the NHL draft was more heralded than Sidney Crosby. In his first season, 2005, “Sid the Kid” lived up to all the hype by scoring 102 points and was runner up for the Calder Memorial Trophy. In his second year he became the only teenager to win a scoring title in the history of the sport. Three years later he was named the Penguins’ captain and took the team to the Stanley Cup Finals, then won the Cup the following season. Crosby donned this Penguins jersey during the ’09-’10 season, the last played at the Mellon Arena, in which he tied for the NHL lead in goals (51) to share the Maurice Richard Trophy with Steven Stamkos. With his 58 assists, he tallied 109 points in all.

The white mesh jersey has the Penguins’ logo on the chest in gold, black and white tackle twill. The left chest has Crosby’s captain’s “C” and there are a pair of number “87” on each shoulder in gold and black tackle twill. A CCM size “56” label is sewn inside the collar. The back has “CROSBY” across the shoulders and his number “87” below in gold and black tackle twill. A label sewn inside the back tail of the jersey is printed with “Pittsburgh Penguins 2009-2010 Game used Jerseys Set #2 PP#92053”. A velcro “fight strap” is sewn inside the back tail. The jersey shows light game use with no obvious staining and no tears or repairs.

LOA from the Pittsburgh Penguin.
