This is a 2008 Florida Gators Football "NCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP" authentic player’s ring. This ring was issued by the University of Florida to kicker Greg Taussig. After clinching the SEC East, the Gators defeated then top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, 31–20, in the SEC Championship Game to win their eighth conference title. They capped their season by defeating the Oklahoma Sooners in the BCS National Championship Game, 24–14. The Gators finished the season ranked No. 1 in both the AP and Coaches' polls. Made by Jostens these rings carry Jostens logo and “YLTM” stamping on the interior of the band. The ring has Cubic Zirconia stones on the face of a raised No. 1 and flanked on each side. “National Champion” is in raised lettering on each side of the face; one shank has the team’s 13-1 record in raised letters above a Fed-Ex BCS sculpted figural and the other has Young’s name, a sculpted figural of the team’s national titles and the player’s position and No. 72. Comes in a black felt jewelry box; all elements of the ring appear to be in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition. Ring size 9.
