After playing in just 48 games, batting .250, then being released by Detroit in 2006, Young found his career energized after signing with the Washington Nationals as a free agent for 2007. In 136 games he roared back with 13 HR, 74 RBI, .320 AVG, .378 OBP, and .491 SLG to win the National League Comeback Player of the Year Award. On left of the "W" on helmet Young has signed "Dmitri Da Meat Hook Young 21" in perfect looking 9/10 black felt tip pen. To the right he has added "2007 N. L.
