During the 2007 MLB season, New York Yankees Captain Derek Jeter batted .322 with 206 hits, 102 runs scored and 73 RBI. This lot features one of his game used bats from a another typical All-Star and Silver Slugger season by the legendary shortstop. The Yanks were the American League Wild Card in 2007 and fell to the Indians in the Division Series.
The
offered black ash Louisville Slugger is un-cracked with evidence of moderate to heavy use. It measures 34 inches long
and weighs 31 ounces with ball marks, stitch impressions and cleat marks throughout the barrel. A weighted batting donut impression is also present. There is a light coat of pine tar on the handle. The Derek Jeter New York Yankees branded bat (model P72) has been signed by Jeter on the barrel in 9/10 fine-point silver marker. The opposite side of the bat barrel reveals engraved “TPX” and MLB logos in silver. A fine example from the Yankees’ all-time leader in hits (3,465) who has blessed it with a signed letter of authenticity himself.
