This offering is a unique 2006 FIFA World Cup Final Draw medal presented to the member of the Brazil Football Confederation (CBF) who represented Brazil at the official group drawing for the 18th World Cup held in Germany. These final draw medals are apparently only awarded to one representative from each of the 32 teams that qualify for the world's biggest sporting event, making them particularly rare. The 2006 World Cup official draw took place in Leipzig, Germany on December 9, 2005. Brazil drew into Group F along with Australia, Croatia and Japan. The Brazilians swept their group to get nine out of a possible nine points and move on to elimination play, but they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by the eventual runners-up France, who fell to Italy in the Finals.

This lovely final draw medal features a raised, gold-plated FIFA World Cup trophy on the front with "FIFA WORLD CUP" on the top. The reverse features "FINAL DRAW" at top and "LEIPZIG 9 DECEMBER 2005" at bottom with the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany logo in the center. The silver-plated bronze medal, made by renowned Italian manufacturer Bertoni, measures 60 mm in diameter, 4-5 mm thick, and weighs 86 grams. It presents NM and comes in its original blue Bertoni presentation case. Includes LOA from a longtime Brazil National Team coordinator.
