Like Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, and Mantle before him, Jeter personifies the current Yankees dynasty and it seems assured that one day his plaque will hang both in Yankee Stadium's Monument Park and Cooperstown. This jersey originates directly from Yankees-Steiner Collectibles, the official collectibles company of the New York Yankees, which exclusively markets all authentic game-used Yankees jerseys, and is accompanied by an LOA from the company attesting to its game-used status. On the front left tail is the "Majestic" manufacturers tag with a series of flag tags attached reading size "48" and "2005". Inside the left seam is a wash tag with code "19 4207". Across the front is "New York" done in blue on white tackle twill. On the back is the player's number "2" done in blue on white tackle twill. On the back outside collar is the embroidered official "MLB" logo. The jersey is autographed on back in silver with "05 Game Used" added and rates a 9-10/10. The jersey shows some game-use with a few faint dirt stains that not even laundry detergent could remove and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
