The Phillies All-Star second baseman wore this stunning pinstriped home jersey circa 2005-06, a period when he turned into two of his finest season, averaging .300 and hitting 28 and 32 home runs, respectively. Since becoming a permanent fixture as the Phillies' second baseman in 2004, Utley has demonstrated versatility, spending some time at first base as well. As his fielding has improved over his career, Utley is seen in combination with Jimmy Rollins as one of the best middle-infield combinations in the NL and is considered by fans to be a team leader, alongside Rollins and Ryan Howard.
Tailored from lightweight polyester, this white button-down garment features "Phillies" embroidered in red chenille script-style characters to a white twill plate on the chest, with the distinctive blue stars for the dots on the “I’s” on either side. In red-on-white double tackle twill, "26" is sewn to the back and to the left sleeve, while "Utley" is arched atop the back number in like fashion. An MLB silhouette logo adorns the base of the neck, and the left front tail is home to a sewn-in Majestic Size 46 label. The coveted Major League Baseball hologram (187710 BB) is affixed to the Majestic tag. It shows good game use - including some piling on the jersey front attributed to sliding head first and boasts the highest-possible A10 benediction from MEARS; the jersey appears to be in largely as-issued and problem-free condition, with some light fraying of the red stitching, primarily on the large No. 26 on the back and to a lesser extent to the No. 26 on the left sleeve directly above the "Majestic" red embroidered logo. A strong blue Sharpie Utley autograph appears on the front well above the Majestic tag and includes his No. 26 inscription added. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from MEARS - A10.
