Arguably the most opulent and grandiose Super Bowl ring ever conceived, this incredible Size 15 Jostens ring weighs in at a startling 100 grams. Perhaps this is why Russian President Vladimir Putin is so reluctant to give his back to Patriots owner Robert Kraft. It visual presentation is as stirring as the Patriots victory that it commemorates. This was the ring awarded to Rohan Davey, the 6-2, 245-lb. backup to Tom Brady for three seasons from 2002-04. In Super Bowl XXXIX, the Patriots defeated the Philadelphia Eagles by the score of 24–21. The game was played on February 6, 2005, at Alltel Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. The Patriots thus became the first team since the 1997–98 Denver Broncos to win consecutive Super Bowls. New England also became the second team after the Dallas Cowboys to win three Super Bowls in four years.

In addition to the absurd general scarcity of any Patriots Super Bowl player rings in the marketplace, the reality is that rings from the 2004 title are the most rarely seen of the teams' three Super Bowl triumphs in this millennium. The 14-karat white gold ring boasts an amazing total of 124 diamonds with a approximate total weight of 4.94 karats. Combining horizontal and vertical elements, the ring has "World Champions" on the left and right of the face, surrounding graphics featuring the Super Bowl trophy and the Patriots famed logo, with spectacular glittering diamonds adorning every letter and background component. Each side of the ring has a customized embossed inlay in deep relief; the name "Davey" is raised on the left side over a banner that reads "3 out of 4" directly above a raised Patriots helmet with the color logo and the dates of their three Super Bowl titles. Raised below is the player's No. 6 above an engraving of "21 Straight." On the opposite side in deep relief is a banner "Back to Back" directly above "World Champions 2004"; then the Super Bowl XXXIX logo above the game score divided by the Lombardi Trophy. The engraving "9-0 Playoffs" is engraved into the base of the shank. The only other previously offered Patriots Super Bowl XXXIX player ring we are aware of at auction sold for $66,000 in 2008.
