David Pollack was a former NFL linebacker who played two seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals before suffering a career-ending neck injury in the second game of his second season. He played college football for the University of Georgia, where he was a three-time All-American, and was recognized as the top college defensive player in the nation. Pollack made 36 sacks during his collegiate career, third most in NCAA history. He was a first-round pick of the Bengals in the 2005 NFL Draft. This lot includes a red-and-black matted photo display (12” wide by 17.5” high) of Pollack during his glory days at Georgia as well as his game-worn University of Georgia Bulldogs jersey. The size 52 red Nike mesh jersey includes the SEC, Georgia and Captain patches on the front and show noticeable wear with small rips as well as paint transfers throughout. The back of the jersey includes his sewn-on nameplate with “POLLACK” in white lettering. A great collection of memorabilia from a NFL player who never got the chance to reach his full potential but who now serves as a football analyst for ESPN.

Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
