Featured here is a Rob Niedermayer Anaheim Mighty Ducks game-worn jersey from the 2003 Stanley Cup Finals vs. the New Jersey Devils. The epic 7-game series must have been gut-wrenching for the Niedermayer family as it pitted Rob's Mighty Ducks vs. younger brother Scott's New Jersey Devils. Rob was a steady defenseman who played 17 seasons in the NHL including five plus in Anaheim. He came over late in the 2002-03 season from the Calgary Flames just in time for the playoffs, in which he tallied goals and 7 assists over 21 games. Unfortunately for Rob, Scott's Devils denied the Mighty Ducks their first cup by shutting them out 3-0 in game 7. It was a memorable run for the Ducks franchise that set the tone for a parabola of success in the coming years. In 2007, Rob and Scott were teammates for the Ducks' first Stanley Cup.

The purple CCM size 56 road jersey has the Mighty Ducks logo sewn on the front and both shoulders along with the 2003 Stanley Cup patch crested over the right chest area. Rob Niedermayer's #44 is sewn on both sleeves and on the back in white tackle twill with purple and teal piping. 'NIEDERMAYER' on back is in white on a purple nameplate. There is also a KOHO brand logo patch sewn on the back above the letters. The jersey has the 2002-2003 MeiGray inventory tag (coded A08732 for authenticity verification) in the hem. It shows light to moderate wear, with evidence of game-use in the form of board burns and stick marks on the sleeves. Jersey presents beautifully with little pilling or fraying and comes essentially as-issued. What an incredible offering for Ducks fans and hockey collectors alike!

Includes a Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
