ADDENDUM: JERSEY IS FROM 2002, NOT 2001 AS STATED IN CATALOG.

Defensive end Kenechi Udeze was a three-year starter (2001-03) at USC and helped his team to a 2004 Rose Bowl victory (28-14) over the Michigan Wolverines. He finished his college career with 135 tackles (51 of them for a loss), 28 sacks (a school record), 14 forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, one interception, five pass deflections, and two blocked kicks. As a junior in 2003, he was a first-team All-Pac-10 selection and was a consensus 1st Team All-America selection. The Minnesota Vikings picked Udeze in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft, but he was forced to retire in 2008 after being diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. This is Udeze’s 2002 game-worn No. 94 USC home jersey from his freshman year. The red mesh/spandex stretchy Nike jersey (size 48, Length +4, "L" flag tag) shows a ton of game use with several paint transfers in the shoulder area and on the gold epaulet stripes, plus some punctures in the fabric. It includes the “SC” emblem on the bottom of the V-neck collar as well as the Nike swoosh on the left shoulder area.

Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum as well as Letter of Authenticity from the University of Southern California signed by former Athletic Director Mike Garrett. There are a few mistakes in the letter as he calls it 2001 game-worn and a size 50 when it is from 2002 (based on game images) and a size 48.
