This offering is a unique 2002 FIFA World Cup Final Draw medal presented to the member of the Brazil Football Confederation (CBF) who represented Brazil at the official group drawing for the 17th World Cup held in South Korea and Japan. These final draw medals are apparently only awarded to one representative from each of the 32 teams that qualify for the world's biggest sporting event, making them particularly rare.

The 2002 World Cup official draw took place in Busan, South Korea on December 1, 2001. Brazil drew into Group C along with China, Costa Rica and Turkey. The Brazilians swept their group to get nine out of a possible nine points and move on to elimination play. They would beat Belgium, England and Turkey in succession before facing Germany in the Finals. Thanks to a clutch performance from star forward, Ronaldo, who came through with a brace in the final match, Brazil won 2-0 to claim their record fifth World Cup title.

This lovely final draw medal features a raised, gold-plated FIFA World Cup trophy on the front with "FIFA WORLD CUP" on the top. The reverse features "FINAL DRAW" at top and "BUSAN 1 DECEMBER 2001" at bottom with the 2002 FIFA World Cup KOREA-JAPAN logo in the center. The silver-plated bronze medal, made by renowned Italian manufacturer Bertoni, measures 60 mm in diameter, 4-5 mm thick, and weighs 86 grams. It presents NM-MT and comes in its original blue Bertoni presentation case. Includes LOA from a longtime Brazil National Team coordinator.
