The late, great Bill Russell was one of the finest players to ever play the game of basketball. It was recently announced that his number 6 will be retired posthumously across the entire league, the first player ever to receive the honor in the NBA. This card is also a wonderful tribute to the only player ever to win 11 NBA championships. The 2002 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection Ultimate Signatures example offers a brilliant on-card autograph from Russell in bold blue ink. BGS graded the card a NM-MT+ 8.5, with the following subgrades: centering 9.5, corners 9, edges 8.5, and surface 8.5.
