This road grey Yankees jersey was worn by the greatest closer in the game's history (particularly in the postseason) during the 2001 regular season and, quite possibly, worn during the World Series in the bullpen at Arizona for one of the Series road games, excluding the series finale. "New York" arches gently across the chest, with number "42," which will one day be retired for Rivera as well as Robinson, applied to verso. The World Series sleeve patch on the left sleeve is balanced by the American League Centennial model on the right, and a black band around the left cuff and American flag at rear collar honor those lost in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. "Russell Athletic Authentic Collection" label in tail hosts two flap tags reading "100% Polyester 46" and "2" Extra Length" respectively, and is affixed with Steiner Sports holographic authentication stickers. Wear is light but definite.
Includes a LOA from Steiner Sports.
