Big Mac added sixty-five round-trippers in 1999 to his record-setting seventy in 1998 for an outrageous two-year sum of 135. This uniform includes McGwire’s white home Cardinals jersey and matching pants. The jersey features the Cardinals bat and birds logo in chenille embroider on the front above McGwire’s “25” in red and navy tackle twill. Inside the right front tail is the Rawlings label with additional “52” and “SET 1 1999” tagging. The back has “MCGWIRE” and “25” in red and navy tackle twill. This button-front jersey has a straight cut hem, typical of McGwire gamers of the period. It has been autographed by McGwire in bold blue sharpie. The matching pants are properly tagged including strip tag in the waistband stitched “McGWIRE 25 36-39 37 99 1.” Both items show light wear. The front tail bears holograms from Steiner, MLB Authentication for autograph (MT00441472) and an Online Authentics sticker. An additional Steiner hologram appears on the tag inside the jersey tail.
