Game 3 in San Diego (Padres 4, Yankees 5) What started off as a pitchers dual ended with the Yanks scoring in the late innings and Mariano Rivera getting the save to go up 3 games to 0. Game 2 ticket encapsulated and graded by PSA NM-MT 8 Game 3 proof Mint 9 (only one in pop report). The 1998 world series brought the Yankees franchise championship total to 24 tying the Montreal Canadiens for most championships won by a north American professional sports franchise.A record they would best the following year.
