Willie McGinest, a standout defensive end out of USC, was drafted by New England in 1994 and went on to play 12 NFL seasons with the Patriots (winning 3 rings) and three more seasons in Cleveland before hanging up his cleats at the end of 2008. He played both DE and outside linebacker during his career and was as reliable as they come. His 16 sacks in the post-season are still a record. This lot includes the 2-time Pro Bowler's autographed and game-worn Patriots home white jersey from the 1998 season. The mesh/spandex No. 55 jersey (size 52) includes the proper Starter Authentic manufacturer’s tagging (“Designed & Tailored for the NFL”) on the left front tail and the washing instructions tag on the inside. The jersey exhibits good game use with multiple team repairs throughout. McGinest has signed the back of the jersey in black marker across the first “5” in “55.” The signature is strong and rates 9/10 in our book.
