The incomparable Rickey Henderson wore this outstanding Oakland A's alternate jersey in 1998, the last of his four stints with the team that witnessed his greatest moments and wound up adorning his plaque in Cooperstown. Henderson was named the AL's Most Valuable Player in 1990, and he was the leadoff hitter for the team's World Championship year in 1989.

This wonderful Oakland A's alternate gamer shows good game use, but remains otherwise in largely as-issued and problem-free condition. The shirt has Russell Athletic Size 42 tagging on the front tail, along with a small flag tag with fabric content and another with "1-inch Extra Length." The "Athletics" script is in white and gold tackle twill on the front, same as his No. 24 front and back. "Henderson" is in white and gold tackle twill on a green nameplate on the back; the A's Sunglassed Elephant logo appears on the left sleeve and the Russell "R" embroidered patch on the right. Game use is evident front and back, including some buckling to the large "24" numerals on the back and some apparent light fraying of green and gold embroidered stitching front and back.

Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from the Oakland Athletics' equipment manager. The jersey is part of Bill Albert's Rickey Henderson collection. Albert acquired most of his items through Man of Steel Sports, Rickey's memorabilia company run by his longtime memorabilia manager, Mike Weiss.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
