Derek Jeter's 1996 Rookie of the Year season is handsomely evoked in this enormous 44-by-36-inch display piece showcasing a special commemorative 1996 World Series Yankees home pinstripe jersey graced with an 8/10 black Sharpie Deter autograph directly below the Yankees logo. Graceful black-and-white matting sets off both the jersey and intricately carved versions of the "NY" logo above each shoulder; the 1996 World Series Patch appears on the right shoulder and left sleeve is the No. 7 and black arm band marking the passing of Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle in August of the previous year. Beneath the Jeter signature is imprinted in black: DEREK JETER, 1996 AL Rookie of the Year, 1996 World Series Champion, 183 Hits, 10 Home Runs, 78 RBI, 14 SB, 104 Runs, Limited Edition of 96." At the bottom of the jersey is the Steiner patch and Field of Dreams hologram attesting to the authenticity, along with the edition number of 56/96 handwritten near the bottom. It is all neatly ensconced by a 2.5-inch glossy black frame and plexiglass.
