The Yankees ended the strike-shortened 1995 season with a record of 79-65, seven games behind the Red Sox, but were able to claim the first American League's first ever Wild Card berth. Shortstop Derek Jeter made his MLB debut, beginning his long and decorated career with the club. This 1995 team signed OAL (Budig) ball includes 24 signatures (all but one in blue ink averaging 7/10) including the rookie autographs of Derek Jeter and Andy Pettitte as well as Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera, Don Mattingly, Tony Fernandez, David Cone (only one to sign in black), John Wetteland, Bernie Williams, Paul O’Neill, Darryl Strawberry, Danny Tartabull, Jim Leyritz, Mike Stanley, Steve Howe, manager Buck Showalter, etc. The inscription, “PS 9:10” is in Wetteland’s hand, but the "1995 Yankees" notation on the label is written in an unknown hand. Ball has light toning and looks NM. Full LOA's from PSA/DNA and Beckett.
