Greg Maddox wore this jersey on the road during the 1995 season. The kind of numbers put up by the Braves pitcher was unheard of since the days of Sandy Koufax and Bob Gibson: 19 wins against 2 losses and a miniscule ERA of 1.63. Not since the days of Walter Johnson had a pitcher recorded back-to-back season ERAs of under 1.80. This remarkable recorded not only earned Maddux his 4th consecutive Cy Young Award, but it also helped lead the Braves to a World Championship.

The grey jersey has “Atlanta” and the Braves’ tomahawk in red, navy and yellow tackle twill. Navy and red piping trims the sleeves and front of the jersey. A Russell Athletic size 44 label is sewn on the lower left front tail with a “2” EXTRA LENGTH” hand tag affixed. The back has “MADDUX” in navy tackle twill on a grey name plate sewn above his number “31” in red and navy tackle twill. The jersey shows medium game use with some loose threads on the tackle twill graphics. A great jersey from the very height of Maddux’s Hall of Fame career.
