Facing the largest point spread in Super Bowl history (18.5), the San Diego Chargers were given little chance by Vegas – or anyone with a pulse, for that matter – against San Francisco’s high-powered offense in the 39th edition of biggest game of the year in sports. On January 29, 1995, future Hall of Famer Steve Young emerged from predecessor Joe Montana’s enormous shadow to deliver arguably the greatest QB performances in Super Bowl history, throwing a record six TD passes in the 49ers’ 49-26 shellacking. The Niners did more than cover the spread, they gave their beloved fans along with millions of football spectators worldwide a thrilling game loaded with 75 points and 10 touchdowns combined, neither of which have ever been topped.

Presented here is a gorgeous San Francisco 49ers 1994 World Champions player ring virtually identical to those issued to MVP Steve Young and fellow Canton enshrinees Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders. This 10-karat yellow gold stunner, crafted by Balfour comes in size 10.25 (49 grams), was issued to Alfonzo Browning, a wide receiver out of the University of Kentucky who spent two seasons (1994-95) on the Niners’ practice squad. The face features a total of 49 high-quality genuine diamonds highlighted by five large-cut marquis diamonds forming the franchise’s five Super Bowl trophies. The left shank has “BROWNING” in raised relief above a depiction of five Lombardi trophies rising out of the San Francisco Bay over the famed Golden Gate Bridge, with “49ers 16-3” denoting the team’s final record in 1994. The left shank is a brilliant, colorful display of the “SF” team logo, the NFL’s 75th Anniversary logo, and the Super Bowl XXIX logo each done in hard-fire color glass enamel for the very first time on any Super Bowl ring. The final score (“49-26”) appears at the bottom with “1” (this particular player’s first and only championship ring with the team) engraved on a football. “LGB 10K” is hallmarked inside the band. The ring shows light wear and presents beautifully.

Includes LOA from PSA/DNA ring evaluator T.J. Kaye.
