Presented here is a 1994-94 pre-season, game-worn Los Angeles Lakers road jersey worn by NBA Hall of Famer James Worthy. The seven-time NBA All-Star, three-time NBA champion and the 1988 NBA Finals MVP was just weeks away from making his retirement official on Nov. 11, 1994, when we donned this jersey. The instantly recognizable purple with white/yellow jersey has the 94-95 Exclusivity tagging in tail, with BODY LENGTH +3 and additional Champion size tag of 46. The 100% purple mesh Lakers jersey includes “Big Game James” Worthy’s iconic No. 42 sewn on the front and back in white tackle twill with Lakers gold outline. The same holds true for the “Lakers” that graces the jersey front and his last name “WORTHY” that is sewn across the back in a semi-circle fashion. Overall the jersey shows mild usage with no alterations of any kind.
Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
