The Chicago Bulls recorded six NBA titles during the 1990s with
outstanding performances by standout All-Stars like Michael Jordan and
Scottie Pippen. But guard B.J. Armstrong also had a big hand in helping
Chicago to three of its titles (1991, ’92 and ’93). And John Salley, a
backup center, also made contributions to the team’s 1995-96 title run.
This lot features a pair of Chicago Bulls game-worn home jerseys from
both of those players; Armstrong’s from the 1994-95 campaign and
Salley’s from the aforementioned 1995-96 season.
Armstrong’s jersey, which is signed on the front in black fine-point
marker, demonstrates solid game use and reads “BULLS” across the front
in red tackle twill outlined in black with his uniform number “10” just
below the team name in similar tackle twill fashion. Obvious fraying of
the letters and numbers is evident. The official NBA embroidered red,
white and blue logo is located on the left front chest area. Proper
“Champion” manufacturer’s tagging [size] 44 exists on the left front
tail with an adjacent sewn-on tag reading: “Designed & Tailored
94-95 Exclusively for CHICAGO BULLS Body Length +3.” On the inside left
seam is a “100% POLYESTER” tag. The back of the jersey reads “ARMSTRONG”
in red tackle twill outlined in black with his uniform number “10” just
below his name in similar tackle twill fashion. Some additional fraying
of the letters and numbers is evident on the back of the jersey.
Salley’s jersey shows light usage and reads “BULLS” across the front
in red tackle twill outlined in black with his uniform number “22” just
below the team name in similar tackle twill fashion. The official NBA
embroidered red, white and blue logo is located on the left front chest
area. Proper “Champion” manufacturer’s tagging [size] 46 exists on the
left front tail. On the inside left seam is a “100% NYLON, 100%
POLYESTER” tag with an adjacent tag reading “4” EXTRA BODY LENGTH.” The
back of the jersey reads “SALLEY” in red tackle twill outlined in black
with his uniform number “22” just below his name in similar tackle twill
fashion.
Armstrong autograph is pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
