"Rosie was a great Giant. He was with this organization for more than 50 years as a player, coach and scout. He excelled in every area, and he was always a gentleman." These were the touching words longtime New York Giants owner Wellington Mara used to describe Hall of Fame offensive tackle Roosevelt Brown when he died in 2004, a year before "The Duke" himself passed away. Rosey was a football "Giant" through and through, dominating the trenches to open holes for the likes of Frank Gifford and protecting the blind sides of Charlie Connelly and Y.A. Tittle for 13 years (1953-65). Part of the famous 1956 NFL Championship squad, Brown had six First Team All-Pro seasons and made nine Pro Bowls. Following his playing career, he stayed on as a coach and scout for multiple decades.

To honor his nearly forty years of dedicated service to the organization, the New York Giants presented Rosey with this 1990 Super Bowl XXV Champions 10-karat gold ring. Sixteen small diamonds border two larger stones, forming a sparkling centerpiece display. Surrounding the glimmering presentation is "GIANTS 1990 WORLD CHAMPIONS" in raised relief. On one shank, "BROWN" and "16-3" flank a detailed Giants helmet motif. The opposing shank has "Giants - 20 Bills - 19" [thanks to Scott Norwood] in raised fashion with designs noting the Giants' Super Bowl XXI and XXV victories. Etched inside the gigantic 15-1/4 size band is "ROOSEVELT BROWN," along with the manufacturer's "LGB 10K" designation. The ring (50 grams) remains in fantastic condition with just a couple minor surface dings and scratches. It comes in its lovely original wooden presentation box with a glass window for ideal display. The COA signed by Brown's widow Linda is a copy (original seems to be misplaced).
