Besides being Detroit’s second consecutive World Championship, 1990 marked the first time since 1979 that the Lakers or Celtics did not appear in the Finals. The Pistons appeared unstoppable as Isiah Thomas and Dennis Rodman led Detroit a 4 games to 1 series win. This staff model 10K gold World Champions ring has cubic zirconia diamond mounted on a red stone surrounded by “DETROIT PISTONS WORLD CHAMPIONS 89-90.” The left shank has two basketballs with “BACK TO BACK” and the Pistons logo above the team record of 59-23. The right shank features the NBA logo with the Finals score of 4-1 and “ST. PETER” in raised letters. The interior carries the Balfour “LGB 10K” hallmark. The ring is housed in its original wood display case with “DETROIT PISTONS 1990 WORLD CHAMPIONS” carved into the top. Size 9 1/2. Outer diamonds surrounding center CZ diamond are real.
