The San Francisco 49ers are one of the NFL's premier franchises, winners of five Super Bowls, the fourth which occurred in 1989 in Super Bowl XXIV. In this Super Bowl, the most lopsided one in history, the Niners beat the Broncos, 55-10, as Joe Montana throw five touchdown passes. This ring was presented to former 49ers player RC (Alley Oop) Owens, who is a member of the 49ers’ Ring of Honor. The crest features a bed of real diamonds shaped like a football, with four larger real diamonds (signifying their four Super Bowl victories) in the middle. This is surrounded by raised relief "FORTY NINERS" and the Super Bowl years of "81 84 88 89" etched in the corners. One shank has the name "OWENS" with four Super Bowl trophies set against the Golden Gate Bridge with the name "SAN FRANCISCO" with the season record "17-2" below. The other shank has "88 BACK TO BACK 89" with the "SUPER BOWL XXIV" insignia and the score "55-10" below. Inside this 49 gram/size 12.75 ring is engraved "10K(C) JOSTENS.” This ring was obtained directly from the family of RC Owens, and includes the accompanying paperwork. The impressive ring shows minimal wear and is in Near Mint condition.
