The 1989-90 Detroit Pistons battled back to repeat as NBA Champions after posting a regular season record of 59-23, which placed them first in the Eastern Conference. Coached by the late Chuck Daly, the self proclaimed “Bad Boys” then went on to dominate in the post-season by knocking off – in succession – the Indiana Pacers, New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls and then the Portland Trail Blazers to win it all.
This lot features a 1990 NBA Champion Detroit Pistons team-signed basketball. The Official Spalding Top Flight 100 basketball boasts 15 total signatures in black marker from Coach Daly (HOF) to assistant coach and longtime scout Will Robinson to players Isiah Thomas (HOF), Joe Dumars (HOF), Vinnie "Microwave" Johnson, Mark Aguirre, Dennis Rodman (HOF), Bill Laimbeer, James Edwards, John Salley, William Bedford and Scott "Thor" Hastings. Three more signatures are unidentifiable due to their handwriting. The majority of the signatures rate 8/10 in our book. Ball is fully inflated and in great shape.
