The 1988 Rose Bowl, the 74th running of the Rose Bowl Game, was played on New Year’s Day between the Michigan State Spartans and the USC Trojans. In a fiercely fought battle, the Spartans upended the Trojans, 20-17. This lot includes the game-used USC Trojans jersey that starting offensive tackle Dave Cadigan wore in the Rose Bowl battle. The size 52 (LONG) Trojans white mesh/nylon/spandex jersey is sporting Cadigan’s uniform No. 66 in red on the front and back and the green, red and white Rose Bowl logo on the top of both shoulders. The jersey shows game use and includes Cadigan’s cut-out and re-sewn V-neck at the bottom of the red collar. The W.A. Goodman & Sons manufacturer’s washing instructions tag can be found on the left front tail.
Includes Letter of Authenticity from USC and Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
