Towering 6' 6" with virtually unparalleled athleticism among those ever to set foot on a baseball diamond, Dave Winfield won six Silver Sluggers and seven Gold Gloves in his 22 outstanding big-league seasons. The 2001 Hall of Fame inductee spent nine of those in the Bronx and sported this offered Yankees home gamer during the 1987 season in which he put up solid .275-27-97 All-Star numbers and got himself another Gold Glove in right field. From 1977 to 1988, Winfield made the All-Star team every year. He finished his career with 3,110 hits and 465 home runs. As one of just three to be drafted by four different professional sports leagues (MLB, NBA, ABA and NFL), ESPN ranked him the third greatest all-around athlete ever.

The white knit button-down shirt has the classic navy pinstriped pattern, the classic "NY" logo on the left chest and Winfield's No. "31" on the back in navy tackle twill. On the left front tail is Wilson manufacturer's tagging with a size 44 flag tag, and there is a white strip tag in the collar with "Winfield 87 1" chain-stitched, denoting year and set. Winfield has signed the back in black marker. The jersey shows excellent wear throughout, with puckering and fraying from repeated game use and laundering, and comes in all-original condition. According to Sports Investors Authentication, it can be conclusively photo-matched from its unique pinstripe pattern to multiple regular season games. Includes LOAs from Sports Investors and MEARS with a perfect A10 grade. LOA from Beckett for the autograph.
