The 1986-87 Fleer Basketball set is one of the most significant sports card issues in the hobby. Anchored by Michael Jordan, it features several other Hall of Famer rookies including Barkley, Olajuwon, Ewing, Malone, Drexler, Worthy, Dominique, Isiah, Mullin, Dumars, and Sampson. Other key rookies are Manute Bol, Spud Webb, Danny Ainge and Byron Scott. Notable non-rookies are Magic, Bird, Kareem and Doctor J.
Fresh to the hobby is this outstanding, high-grade set of 132 cards along with a complete 11-card ’86 Fleer Sticker set. All 143 cards are graded by PSA in the NM-MT 8 to MINT 9 range. Our consignor built these two sets organically, either pulling raw cards from packs and getting them graded or purchasing already graded examples on the secondary market. We recently entered the 132-card standard set into the PSA Registry and it has earned a strong 8.707 GPA and Set Rating. 108 of 132 (81.82%) are graded MINT 9.
